Mathematics Teacher

Daphne Solis

Daphne grew up in Big Rapids, Michigan and graduated with her secondary math and business teaching certification from Ferris State University.  She has two children, a daughter who is a Junior at Grand Valley State University and a son who is a Sophomore at Grant High School. She has two Teacup Yorkie puppies who are brother and sister from different litters. Sweet tempered Bella, and  bull-in-a-china-shop Moose.

After staying home to raise her children, Daphne decided to attend Ferris State again, but this time to obtain her Elementary Endorsement; focus on mathematics.  She has worked with the Big Rapids Public Schools for the past five years, the recent two of which have been as their high school's math interventionist.  Daphne believes that "Every day is a good day as long as I get to do a little math!" and is anxious to pass her love of the subject on to her students at CASMAN.
